This is not a place, but a parasitic invasion of all existing places.  It is a set of tools for introducing surreal horror into an existing ttrpg setting you've already been using for your game. It is an act of violence. It seeks to do to a fictional place what body horror does to a fictional body. It is a mechanism for defamiliarizing the comfortable and escalating the tensions at the heart of your setting beyond the breaking point of reality itself.

In this supplement, you will find six different metamorphoses that can be applied to specific locations in a ttrpg setting you're already playing a game in. They could represent a dream or a vision, divine retribution or digital decay, an additional layer to play or a permanent change to it. They are a way of defamiliarizing the locations you've gotten to know over the course of your game, and dragging their dark sides out into the light. 

Each page contains an image that can serve as an emotional "map" of your location's new form, an evocative name that can get you started on what might have happened here, a set of World Rules that change the way this location works, and a table of prompts for possible events that could occur there.

Regardless of the choices you make, remember: beneath the skin of every familiar and comfortable place lies the blood, bone and sinew that allows it to function. The horrible beating heart of the system that spits out problems for you to solve. This is a set of instructions for butchering such a thing. You can peel away the layers that insulate you from the truth. You can drag it out into the sun, and watch it rot.
